Review: Four Score

Four Score
Four Score by Lili St. Germain

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ahhhh! Another great entry in this serial. What a cliff hanger too! I'm in love with the grit, grime, and good old fashioned revenge in this story. Every book the stakes get higher, and it's a critical mass right now!

Review: Unethical

Unethical by Jennifer Blackwood

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A delicious new adult read about a girl who left her life behind (including her boyfriend) for two years after her physician father assisted her cancer-suffering mother in committing suicide. Stay tuned to Heroes and Heartbreakers for a more in depth first look.

Katrina Finally Pulls a Spell Out of Her Ass: A Sleepy Hollow Rundown

Katrina has proven to be the damsel in distress just a few times too many, especially considering her reputation as an all powerful witch. Last night, Ichabod's past came back to haunt him...and her!

Ichabod is so adorable. He couldn't tell Miss Caroline had the hots for him, and accidentally intimated that Abbie was his wife. #Awkward #Ichabbie #MrsWhoWhatNow

And this gallant bow, though!
But then that poor woman gets killed by The Weeping Lady. Meanwhile Katrina pulls a spell out of her ass to send Ichabod a love letter that was neither helpful nor contained any relevant information.

However, the Weeping Lady attacked Abbie(!) who drowned (!) in the library.

Ichabod doesn't know about CPR so Hawley to the rescue (hey boo!)

Turns out the Weeping Lady is Ichabod's ex girlfriend...who couldn't quite deal with the breakup.

She even met Katrina back in the day, and hates her more than America does. So, she understandably tries to kill her. Katrina pulls another spell out of her ass.

And now the Weeping Lady is really dead. But before she croaks, she point the finger at Katrina...say what? Turns out that when Beth, Ichabod's ex, was supposed to leave town, she had a confrontation with Katrina that ended in Beth's death.

Yet ANOTHER lie from Katrina, and Ichabod is starting to feel some type of way about it. Also turns out these two have a sexy history. Awkward since he's totally trying to bone Abbie (back off hottie!)

And Henry pissed off Moloch trying to show off with his attack on Katrina via the Weeping Lady. Serious daddy issues.

People Are Strange When You're a Stranger: A Walking Dead Rundown

First of all, how hot is Rick when he is in Ricktocracy mode? Really fucking hot. I would like to be frisked next, please and thank you.

I'm happy to see my people made it to the apocalypse, but when Rick takes almost all of them out on a walk, I feel like the group might be missing someone brown on the way back Old Yeller style.

This is so nasty.

And this dude is hiding something.

REALLY hiding something.

And Rick promises vengeance!

And these low down fuckers! I can't wait for them to die a horrible death!
You just gone eat my leg in my FACE though?

Here's hoping Morgan is going to help Rick's group. And Thelma and Louise over here going after Beth... It's too much. I'm gonna be jittery all week!

Hello everyone! It was my turn to dish on Scandal this week. Check me out at Heroes and Heartbreakers and see what I had to say! That episode was a doozy!!

Review: Gladiator : Book 1

Gladiator : Book 1
Gladiator : Book 1 by Freya Isabel

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This little taste of the gladiator world was interesting and I love a story featuring a BBW, but I ultimately didn't connect to the spoiled heroine or her spoiled friends. The secret society was intriguing, however, and it kept me turning the page.

Carol is a Badass: A Walking Dead Rundown

This tweet says everything about the Season 5 premiere of The Walking Dead last night:
We have always known that Carol is a woman who will get shit done, ESPECIALLY when someone asks her to do it.

The problem is she will also get shit done when no one asks her to do it.

Some people think she is wackadoo. Once her abusive husband bit the big one, Carol became the bad ass we now know.

Luckily for Rick and the crew, she was the mastermind of their escape from Terminus.

She even had time to for a badass broad-off. She won.

And because Carol is awesome and helped save the day, this happened:

but before that we all lost our minds when this happened:Carol is back with the family! And all is temporarily right with the world.Hey! Is that our buddy Morgan? He looks in much better shape than last time we saw him!

Review: Echoes of Scotland Street

Echoes of Scotland Street
Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am such a fan of this series and SY did not disappoint at all with this latest entry. Things can never be just easy for the Dublin Street brood, and Cole Walker, all grown up, has got the new receptionist at INKarnate, Shannon MacLeod, in his sights. The problem? She makes some snap judgments about about him based on his tattoos and charm, and brands him a love em and leave em bad boy. Unfortunately for her, Shannon has made some terrible choices in boyfriends since she was a teenager. She has estranged her friends and family because of them, and even feels responsible for her brother Logan's terrible situation when he comes to her rescue.

These two went on a very sweet journey together, and damnit, that Cole Walker grew up nice and sexy! Between him being a tall dark drink of water and Shannon being a feisty wee fairy, they were the perfect opposites attract couple. Loved this book and can't wait for even more!

5 Reasons Everybody Hates Katrina: A Sleepy Hollow Rundown

We wouldn't love Ichabod if he wasn't the truly good man that he is. An annoying part of his goodness however, is his seemingly blind loyalty to his seemingly helpless wife, Katrina. Here are just a few reasons why everybody hates her.

1. As far as Ichabbie fans are concerned, she is in the way of the true love between the two true Witnesses, Ichabod and Abbie.

2. How is it, exactly, that Katrina is so helpless? I call bullshit. And we are all on to her.

3. She can't be trusted. Every time she gets involved with Ichabbie business, it all goes to hell. Or Purgatory.

4. She totally still has a thing for Abraham. I saw her checking him out the other day. Ok, fine. LET ICHABOD GO! She and old Headless have some great chemistry.

5. She is a liar. She tells Headless one thing, Ichabod another, and Henry something else. She wins the side eye award of the decade. FINALLY Abbie lays it out on the line for Ichabod.
