Review: A Worthy Opponent

A Worthy Opponent A Worthy Opponent by Katee Robert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sweet and Wicked

Three books in, you come to expect the deliciously erotic scenes that Katee Roberts delivers in this book. Considering Tink and Hook's personal histories you also get some sweetly tender moments unique to these characters. Loved it. Off to read The Beast!

Review: Learn My Lesson

Learn My Lesson Learn My Lesson by Katee Robert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hot Underworld Throuple

The second in the Wicked Villains series finds Hades, the powerful guy that runs the kinky Underworld club and surrounding area, at a delicate place in his relationship with Megeara, his sub/romantic partner as well as on the precipice of revenge when he brings innocent Hercules into their spider web.

This story is about revenge, finding love unexpectedly, and rekindling love that was already there. Featuring Hades, the enigmatic ans mercurial leader of this throuple with Meg, his skilled and closest ally, and Hercules, the unworldly golden boy who left his father Zeus when he couldn't cope with his misdeeds. These three make a beautiful throuple and the continued world building was great, giving us a peek into even more characters and the lay of the land. Loving these and on to the next!!

Review: The Devil You Know

The Devil You Know The Devil You Know by Kit Rocha
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amazing. Again!

The Mercenary Librarians are back and this time Maya faces her demons and falls in love with Gray, who is facing a death sentence due to his biotech.

Kit Rocha excels at world building and this book is no different. Maya and Gray are the main couple but we check in on many points of view and the master craftsmanship here keeps it easy and exciting to follow. Can't wait for the next one!

Review: Desperate Measures

Desperate Measures Desperate Measures by Katee Robert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fantastic steamy read!

This book marks the beginning of a series of familiar fairy tale villains and their loves. Set in a contemporary world of underworld crime, this story is about Jafar and Jasmine. Jafar has taken Jasmine's father's operations over by coup and claimed Jasmine for himself. However, Jasmine is no damsel in distress.

This book comes out of the gate steamy and doesn't stop until you're done reading. So well written and the world building is fascinating. You get little intros into other familiar characters. Loved it. 5 filthy stars!

Review: Act Your Age, Eve Brown

Act Your Age, Eve Brown Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A wonderful end to the trilogy!

Eve is impetuous sunshine and finding her way, Jacob is the grumpy and firmly planted Bed and Breakfast owner who falls literally hard for her. This was a hilarious and slow burn sexy read, written in Talia Hibbert's unique voice. Loved the series, loved this book!

This book was confusing and ultimately disappointing. I finished it, skimming unfortunately, to confirm my suspicions about the ending. If you are looking for a good MC book, this isn't it.

Review: Sinner

Sinner Sinner by Sierra Simone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Its been a while since I got excited about a book like I was with Sinner. The novel's tropes are not necessarily my faves, so that is a huge indicator how much I had to have enjoyed it. The novel was also set in Kansas City, a town with a special place in my heart, and as the author is a local, she wrote about it in a subtle, knowledge way that I appreciate.

However, let's talk about Sean Bell. Whew.

The hero of this story is a crass, cocky, and driven millionaire who find himself propositioned by his best friend's much younger sister, Zenny, who will shortly be dedicating her life to God as a nun. She asks him for a month to show her what she is giving up for her vows.

Yes there is a lot of dirty talking sex scenes, but the author did such a wonderful job of creating whole, three dimensional characters with complicated lives and choices. Sean is more than a cocky businessman, he is a guy that loves his family and takes his role seriously, especially considering his mother's illness. Zenny is strong, mature, and wise and challenges Sean at every step but never arbitrarily.

I loved this book. Sean Bell is up there with my fave book boyfriends.

Review: Big Bad Wolf

Big Bad Wolf Big Bad Wolf by Suleikha Snyder
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fast paced romantic action

This was another great read - I enjoy this author a lot. Joe and Neha were such a sexy, passionate couple who end up on the run together. There are also a couple of B-characters storylines that were great as well and kept the pacing interesting. Sexy times and paranormal action -well done!

This was a nice part one of a trilogy. It is a quick read that needs some editing but the story is good.

This was a great read! I love a second chance romance, and this was just was the doctor ordered. And now I'm off to read the next book in the series, a older woman/younger man trope, my second favorite!

Sexy angsty read

4.5 stars!
I enjoyed this story a lot! Lyris is a plus sized singer with a powerhouse voice looking to break into the music biz and agrees to be a backup singer to rock and soul sensation Gage. He is instantly hooked on her voice and her body but Lyris isn't having it.

This was so sweet, and Gage was the perfect mix of earnest and broody. He pursued Lyris will a respectful single-minded focus that was sexy and intense. A hot, sweet read.

Review: Willing Victim

Willing Victim Willing Victim by Cara McKenna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Few erotica novels have such a great grasp on the romantic elements of a relationship. This is one of my favorite reads ever, definitely my fave by this author. Flynn and Laurel are complicated, 3 dimensional characters who share dark desires in common and find love along the way. This is a re-read and I realized I never left a review, only a rating. Still 5 stars, 10 years later.
