Book Review: Seduced in the Dark

Seduced in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #2) Seduced in the Dark (The Dark Duet #2) by

When the book opens, Olivia Ruiz (also called Livvie or Kitten) is in a hospital back in America, and two FBI agents have lots of questions for her. So what happened? When we left Caleb, Livvie's captor, and Livvie in Captive in the Dark, he had just saved her from some terrible rapist bikers. As this story unfolds, the surviving bikers from Caleb's wrath will be seen again, and their lives have been changed forever.

Agent Matthew Reed is demanding answers from Livvie about how she escaped and what happened before she escaped. Initially Livvie isn't talking, but we journey through her memories and see the story play out. Livvie has grown, she is a woman with womanly knowledge and instincts, and her love for Caleb is strong and earnest. We get a bit of a glance into Agent Reed's life, which is a hot glance at that.

Caleb. What is there to say about a beautiful and damaged man like this? His unprofessed love for Livvie did not keep him from showing how he felt, even if he didn't know how to say it. He was torn between his loyalty to the man who pulled him from his own hell of sexual slavery and the young woman he introduced to the same world. This book will keep the reader on the edge of their seat, bouncing between the erotic interludes of Caleb and Livvie, and the terrifying realities of the world they live in...and somehow, the ending leaves you just as breathless for a different reason.
