ARC Review: Reaper's Stand by Joanna Wylde

 Reaper's Stand by Joanna Wylde

I love reading a book about a grown-ass man, and Reese "Picnic" Hayes is all of that and more. President of the Reapers MC, widower, and father of 2 adult women making their own way, Picnic decided that he could never replace the dearly departed Heather Hayes with anyone else. That is, until he met the new owner of the cleaning service they hired, London Armstrong. London is 38, a small business owner, and single mother to the wild Jess (London's cousin's daughter who suffers from medical issues because of drug use when she was in the womb.)

For six months Picnic has eye-fucked London to distraction, and London has been harboring some kinky secret fantasies. However, she has been dating handsome police officer Nate for a little while and due to their busy schedules they haven't exactly sealed the deal yet. One night, London has to pull Jess out of a Reaper party, and that starts the wild ride of Reaper's Stand.

It's no secret I have been a fan-girl of the series since the first book, and this book goes along way to solidify my Joanna Wylde auto-buy rule. Reese is hot, just turned 43, sexy as hell, and apparently hung like his buddy Horse. (Damn, I need to re-read Horse's book!)  The chemistry between Reese and London is ridiculous and the fact that these characters are a little older is a huge plus for me. The diversity in characters, wealth of knowledge, and the well-researched world building that Joanna Wylde has done make her books richer and realistic than most other books of the genre.

The action and sexy times keep the pages turning and if you are like me, you will devour this quickly.  Another 5 star read that keeps your appetite whetted for the next in the series!
