Mowed: An Erotic BBW Comedy Romance by Grace Risata
My rating: 1 of 5 stars
A rare DNF for me.
This was supposed to be a comedy, but between the self hating comments disguised as self deprecation and the rambling commentary, I put this down before I even met the hero. Wasn't my cup of tea, but I'm glad it was enjoyable for others.

Review: Lies
Lies by Kylie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This was damn delightful. A book like this could go badly, but Kylie Scott is a great writer.
Betty is buxom and leaving her boring fiancee when their condo explodes. Turns out tired Thom is really a secret operative who has been playing a role with her. But maybe through the lies, he actually has feelings for Betty...and once she sees Thom in his true element sparks start flying. Sexy, funny, clever read.

Review: Repeat
Repeat by Kylie Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Clementine has amnesia after a seemingly random attack and robbery left her with a traumatic brain injury. Eventually she wanders into a tattoo parlor to ask the artist if the distinct style of her tattoo means he inked her. Turns out it was more than that - Ed was her ex, very recently just before her attack.
I loved Clem's voice in this book. It was so well written and Kylie Scott was a master at unpeeling the layers of memory, love, and mystery. Also Ed just seemed ridiculously hot. Loved this book!

Where is Miss Boxy Frown?
I'm around, reading when I can, live tweeting when I can, and listening to audio books...when I can.
What I am doing mostly is sprinkling my Black Girl Magic all over this MBA program, so I don't have a lot of time for this blog...at the moment!
However, I will poke my head in and write up something that makes me really happy and I can't help but recommend it. Stay tuned, beloveds!
