Review: The Motorcycle Clubs Erotic Novellas, Books 1

His Wild Desire Off Limits Wanting It All

So this is a little different, but I am digging it. The Motorcycle Clubs Erotic Novellas series is actually 3 MC series by three different authors set in the same world. Overall, these books are hot, raw, and kinkalicious. Fans of the MC book culture know that motorcycle clubs can be filled with wild and frank sexual antics of any kind. The first books of these three series makes good on that understanding and bring even more to the table. This is true erotica set in the MC world, which is one of my favorite worlds, but there is also love and romance, and of course, danger and a bit of violence. A perfect cocktail!

The first novella, His Wild Desire by Ella Goode, comes out of the gate with a bit of a taboo. Chelsea Weaver and her step-brother, Grant "Wrecker" Harrison, are in love. They have been since they were teenagers. Chelsea has major abandonment issues; she was barely raised by her single mom who ended up married to Wrecker's father Judge, President of the Death Lords MC, when Chelsea was 14. Shortly after, her mother took off and she was raised by Judge. Wrecker has been recently released from prison; he went to jail for manslaughter for fatally winning a fight against a guy from a rival MC (the white supremacist MC the Eighty-Eight Henchman.) Now that he is home, he wants to make things official with Chelsea. They live under the same roof with Judge, and Wrecker is tired of hiding their relationship.

I don't know how Chelsea held out on Wrecker, because I couldn't have. He was sex on a stick, and the fact that their relationship could seem illicit because they were step siblings ramped up the desire and the kinkiness of it all. They were truly in love, and Wrecker was ready to shout it out and make her his old lady. I loved that! This was a great introduction to the overall series as well as the Death Lords series. 4.5 stars

The second novella, Off Limits by Ruby Dixon, introduces us to the Bedlam Butchers MC. Here's the thing about the Bedlam Butchers: They do everything in pairs. Yes, everything. Two Presidents, two VPs, etc. And when the partners decide to take a lover, they are tag teaming it. Lucky is (one of) the President's little sister. She has one of those ironic nicknames because she is actually bad luck; trouble follows her wherever she goes. However, she is dedicated to the Bedlam Butchers and is actually a great help with the books. She has also been eye-fucking Solo, a Butcher who's partner died two years ago. He hasn't picked a second Treasurer yet, and the club is losing patience. However, what Lucky doesn't know is that Solo has had his eye on her too, and when she is burning the midnight oil at the gym and the Henchmen attack the gym in search of her, Solo protects her...and does so much more.

Solo was a hard, sexy, slab of man. Despite Lucky's protests about bringing him bad luck, Solo claimed her unapologetically. The Bedlam Butchers are a different breed, and I really can't wait to read more about them! 4.5 stars

The third novella, Wanting it All by Kati Wilde, is about the Hellfire Riders MC. Jenny, whose father is the President of the Steel Titans, has a lot of guilt on her shoulders. When she was younger, Saxon Gray saved her from an attempted gang rape from the Eighty-Eight Henchmen. The main perpetrator was killed and Saxon had to serve 5 years on a manslaughter charge. Her father is dying of cancer; the Titans and the Riders are friendly with each other but there are still rules to navigate. When Jenny drops by a Riders bar, the Wolf Den, she knows she is courting trouble but she is willing to do that when she suspects that some Henchmen are following her on the highway. Saxon has wanted Jenny for a long time, and her guilt in his serving jail time has kept him from pursuing her. However, now times are changing and her father's MC may be making a deal with his MC that could change everything.

Saxon was a powerful, decisive, sexy man. He refused to blame Jenny for his jail time, and obviously wanted her, but he wanted her to want him with no reservations. Jenny was skittish, but Saxon laid everything on the line. Saxon refused to settle for less, and I loved him for it. 4.5 stars.

ARC Review: Their Fierce Love by Ella Goode

Their Fierce Love (Motorcycle Clubs Book 10)In book ten of The Motorcycle Clubs series (and book 4 of the double teaming Death Lords MC series) Annie continues her budding romance with Easy and Michigan of the Death Lords MC. Annie is the only daughter of a devout small town preacher, and she knows that her relationship with the sexy Easy and the intense Michigan is definitely something he will not approve of. However, she is conflicted and feels that she can’t just leave her father and move in with Easy and Michigan without a way to take care of herself, despite the fact that Easy and Michigan would love to take care of her. In order to start a dialogue with her father about her dating and possibly moving out (even if she is 23 and doesn’t have to have permission!) the trio agree that she should come out to her dad as dating Easy, who is a hometown boy and well liked. Here is where the real drama starts!

Her preacher father’s sinister overtones in Their Private Need are confirmed in Their Fierce Love, and I think it’s safe to say that without spoiling anything. However, that’s all I am going to say. These three are hot together, and their personalities are a perfect match for each other. Annie is a wanton woman now that she knows the pleasures of sex, and one of the guys even jokes that it’s good there are two of them to keep her satisfied. Easy is, of course, laid back and a fierce protector; Michigan as always is quiet, intense, and looking for way more than a casual hookup. As the series goes on I would love to check in with them and see how their relationship has progressed.

Another great entry in The Motorcycle Clubs series!

Review: Taking it All by Kati Wilde

Taking it All is the 2nd book in the Hellfire Riders MC series, and the 6th book in The Motorcycle Clubs series. Here we continue with the story of Saxon and Jenny. Their connection is just as strong, but this book proves how much they have and are willing to go for each other. Jenny's father is sick and wants to patch over his club to the Hellfire Riders before it's too late. It seems like a good deal all around. The Riders are already strong and bringing over the smaller club will make them even stronger. This is perfect for Saxon and Jenny, but because her father's club has some old bad blood with Saxon's club, some old feelings are being dredged up. The biggest issue? There is an old rule that the President's old lady must prove her worth to the club by having sex with the president in front of the club, and even allow them to join in. With Jenny's background of being sexually assaulted, Saxon is never going to make her do this, but he must convince his club that this is the best choice. Meanwhile, Jenny knows MC life being the princess of her dad's MC, and doesn't want her love to choose between the club and her. Would she be able to do what it takes to keep that from happening?

As always this was a hot, quick read. I love Saxon, and I love Saxon and Jenny together. Jenny was smart and knew her self worth, but also knew the stakes. Saxon exudes power without being a blunt hammer; and he loves his woman! Has loved her for a long time. Another sexy novella from The Motorcycle Clubs team!

What You Should Be Reading (According to My Best of 2014 List)

It's too hard to pick a top 5 or even a top 10 of the best books I have read over the past year. We will all be much happier if I can just do what I want with no restrictions. I wished that worked IRL!

My Favorite Author Auto Buys:
Beyond Solitude (Beyond, #4.5)If you read this blog and haven't picked up a Kit Rocha book yet, whatchoo waitin' on? Dystopian backdrop, sexy times, powerful women, and hardcore men. This is a no brainer. The Beyond series whets the appetite for the gritty MC book lover, or hits the spot if you don't care what subgenre your erotica comes from. Smartly written overall world building and passionate HEAs each read (no matter what that looks like for the characters) these books just keep getting better and better. And we got spoiled with novellas AND novels this year! Here's to more in 2015!

Samantha Young's On Dublin Street series is another that never disappoints. This year 3 novels were released and depending on your favorite trope you may like one more than the other, but I liked all three delightfully. I'm a real sucker for friends-to-lovers books, so Before Jamaica Lane may win the prize for me. Olivia is a curvy, inexperienced woman who turns to her smoking hot friend Nate, a notorious womanizer, to teach her some moves to get a man. She gets one, all right!

Lovely Trigger (Tristan & Danika #3)R.K. Lilley rocked my socks off with Lovely Trigger, the finale of the Tristan and Danika trilogy (an offshoot of her In Flight series.) Whew. You want to talk about a nail biting finish?! Tristan and Danika had been through hell together and apart.  Masterfully done, my friend *bows* I also read The Wild Side Trilogy serials from Lilley this year and loved every mysterious sexy page.

Reaper's Stand (Reapers MC, #4)That damn Joanna Wylde spoiled us with THREE Reapers MC books this year. Consistently the best researched and best written MC books, JW keeps the sexy times, drama, and overall story arc fresh and fantastic. Im not picking a fave, they are all awesome.

Another MC goddess is Madeline Sheehan. This year we were treated to Unbeloved, the resolution of a long time love triangle (that really has more than three sides but we aren't getting into all of that right now). Just read the series and understand that this is a fucked up crew of people who still manage to find love, even if it's years down the road. Every book is epic, every story intertwined with another. So good. MS also has a paranormal series I'm obsessed with and we got a novella this year, The Lost Souls. Gypsies, vampirish creatures, and true mates!

Craving Absolution (The Aces, #3)Nicole Jacquelyn's Aces series is about the Aces MC, and the drama that unfolds with each book is epic and straight from the school of Madeline Sheehan (see above.) I love a complicated, gritty book, and NJ delivers in spades with plenty of sexy times in between. Lots of heart in these books! Loved them this year.

I can be obsessive. Nalini Singh's Psy-Changeling series is a fave of mine, and the sci-fi erotica-ish series isn't for everyone but it is so intelligently done, it appeals to the poser nerd in me. Shield of Winter gives us another hot Arrow Psy to read about, and something about the icy stoic Arrows makes me tingle. So good!

Great Reads by Great Authors:
Broken Open (The Hurley Boys, #2)I have long been a fan of Lauren Dane, and two novels from her Hurley Boys series were released this year. The Hurley Boys are a rock band of brothers called Sweet Hollow Ranch, after their family ranch. They are friends in fact of her other rock star hotties the Brown siblings. The Best Kind of Trouble was about Paddy, but it was Ezra's story, Broken Open, that blew my socks off. Sexy, touching, and real. Loved it!

The Ending series by Lindsey Fairleigh and Lindsey Pogue has been a fave of mine. Out of the Ashes is third in the series; this dystopian zombie-ish/heightened abilities series chronicles two best friends who survive sometimes together, sometimes apart. So well done, and another great series that feeds my sci-fi monster.

Salvation (Defiance, #3)Salvation is third in the Defiance series, a post apocalyptic MC series. When the world is thrown in chaos, the haves and the have nots fight it out; luckily or unluckily in some cases, there are MC clubs that are organized and prepared for the new day in this alternate universe. All of the MC action, adventure, and sexy times we love, but nestled inside a captivating world.

Kristen Ashley ha a few series that I really enjoy, and this year I read the latest from The Unfinished Hero series and The 'Burg series.  Deacon, fourth in the UH series, was so damn good. That was a relationship that was a slow burn, and took a while to completely take root, but so hot and worth the read. Loved it. Meanwhile, The Promise was fifth in TB series, and definitely redeemed the heroine completely for me (as her character was sort of in question in previous books. I didn't dislike her, I just didn't know if I cared enough about her to read a whole book. I was proven WRONG.)

Most Devoured Reads:
Seven Sons (Gypsy Brothers, #1)Lili St. Germain's revenge drama sets the MC genre on it's ear. The Gypsy Brothers series is about a young woman who is raped, tortured, and thought dead by the man who killed her father and took his place at the gavel in the Gypsy Brothers MC. Now, years later, she is back with a new face and new body, with murder on her mind. This is gritty, grimy, and bloody. I love every second of it. Not for the faint of heart!

I'm a year behind on C.D. Reiss' Songs of Submission serials but I devoured them all promptly after getting my hands on the first one. Monica is a waitress who is looking for her big singing break, and Jonathan is a wealthy man who can make things happen for her. The stories are full of windy, twisty turns involving his ex, her friends, and the music industry. Hot, sexy, and a page turner. Pretty much all I require!

Out of Left Field Faves:
His Wild Desire (Death Lords MC #1)The Motorcycle Club Series by Ella Goode, Ruby Dixon, and Kati Wilde sets three different clubs in the same world with kinky, delicious bit size serials twice a month. Love this series so much! If you like MC books and you like erotic serials, this is a win-win.

Tragic (first of the Rook and Ronin series) took me by surprise. I really enjoyed the story of the homeless Rook who finds a new career modeling and falls for Ronin, the model runner and model himself. This isn't new, it was just new to me! Im really crushing on Spencer right now...does he get his own book? This is a trilogy set, so I need to finish the last two books.

Raw by Belle Aurora was a book I happened upon while scouring Goodreads for something new to read. As a self pub book, it's not as polished as some others on this list...however, when the story is as captivating as this one, I can forgive that. Lexi falls in love with her stalker, Twitch. Twitch has tattoos and piercings (instant win!), and saves her from a sexual assault. It's on a popping from there! I'm waiting very impatiently for the next in this series because the way this book ended...dammit...I need more information!

FAT GIRL (Perfectly Imperfect)The Caroline & West series by Robin York is not my usual read; New Adult three-hanky snot fests are not my thing, but I got hooked by these two and their amazing circumstances. The first book ended on a cliffhanger, so of course I had to go in on the second book!

Fat Girl by Leigh Carron was a book I absolutely fell hard for. Deanna's past comes back to her in the form of Micah.the boy next door turned NBA player that she left behind when she ran away from her foster family at 18. So many layers and so much history in this book! The overwhelming theme of love, acceptance, and self confidence reign here. And DAMN Micah was sexy as hell.

So that's my list. I have read a lot of great books this year, including some from JR Ward, Donna McDonald, and Suleikha Snyder. Check here on my blog for my full list of books I have read, and check these books out!

Happy 2015!

ARC Review: His Bold Heart by Ella Goode

The Motorcycle Clubs series is back, y'all!

We are knee deep in Wrecker and Chelsea's adventure with the Misery MC. There are some good guys in that club and some untrustworthy ones; it's Wrecker's job to figure out if the club is worth saving. Meanwhile he and Chelsea are more solid than ever to the envy of everyone they come into contact with. The stakes are super high as well, as Wrecker is still on parole and the chief is gunning for him any way he can get him.

This is another passionate, hot, and fast-paced gritty action read. The Misery MC brings a whole new dimension to The Motorcycle Clubs world, and there are some instant favorites there. Chelsea proves over and over again that she is a ride or die chick for her man, and Wrecker continues to proves that he is worth the Vice President patch.

Loved it, and can't wait for the cross over this summer!

ARC Review: Double or Nothing by Ruby Dixon

The Bedlam Butchers from The Motorcycle Clubs serial is back, and Ruby Dixon is continuing the story of Shy, Beast, and Muscle. This time around, Shy is determined to make her own way, and is finding her voice even more. She applies for and gets a job as a secretary, not knowing that the business has ties to a rival club. However, a member from that club has some serious evidence against Beast and threatens to turn it over to the police unless he gets Shy in his bed.

I was cheering Shy on the whole book! She has always been quiet and a bit clever, but her stutter and abusive background made her painfully shy. However, she has blossomed under the love and lust of her two old men, and her confidence is through the roof, especially when her men are threatened! As always a quick dirty read, and another sizzling entry in The Motorcycle Clubs serial.

ARC Review: Double Down by Ruby Dixon

Double Down (Bedlam Butchers MC #4)

In Double Down, we return to the tag teaming Bedlam Butchers Motorcycle Club for a fourth installment in the serial. In the third book we met Cheyenne (Shy) who sought out the two biggest and meanest men in the Butchers for protection, Muscle and Beast. She is now settling in to their relationship but Shy and Muscle are both experiencing some growing pains along the way. A former military buddy of Muscle's is doing business in Butcher territory and is refusing to play by the rules. However, Muscle is experiencing serious PTSD symptoms brought on by his friend's presence. Meanwhile Shy is dealing with sweet butts and old ladies alike who refuse to give her any respect. Although she is claimed, she isn't an official old lady which puts her in a middle ground. Her shy demeanor also makes her a target. If she isn't bad ass enough to hang with the Butchers, she will either have to prove herself or...leave. Through is all, Beast is the steady heartbeat of the trio, keeping everyone from losing themselves.

As anyone who has read The Motorcycle Clubs series knows, these books are hot, kinky, and full of complete debauchery. Double Down is no exception with scorching page after page of salacious sexytimes. This is another panty dropping entry into the serial, and as usual I can't wait for the next one!

ARC Review: Slow Ride by Ruby Dixon

We return to the Bedlam Butchers, who of course do everything in pairs, and we revisit Lucky and Solo. Lucky is the first fully patched female Butcher and is co-Treasurer with her man, Solo. However, she isn't feeling the respect that her patch should be getting her from inside or outside the club. The guys in the club treat her like and old lady, and the guys outside the club don't see her as more than a chick playing dress up. To top it all off, she is pregnant and is freaking out about the ramifications of that while hosting her little sister home from college for the summer who does not like the MC lifestyle at all. Just as Lucky gets herself together, she and the club have serious club business to deal with.

I devoured this on one sitting and of course I loved it like I have loved them all. Solo and Lucky are sexy as hell together and this book seems like it's the lead in to the huge Motorcycle Clubs crossover event this summer. I can't wait!

Review: Having it All by Kati Wilde

In the conclusion of the saga of Saxon and Jenny in the 3rd Hellfire Riders novella, happiness is just a dead Henchmen away. Saxon and Jenny are solid and hot as ever but the Henchmen came after them in a big way, and now Saxon won't rest until all of the racist bastards from the 88 Henchmen MC are dead and gone. The close call was too close for Jenny; growing up in an MC she knows that her man will take revenge seriously. If she steps in to take care of business her own way, Saxon will take it as a personal attack on his manhood. Jenny has to weigh whether she can live with Saxon alive and pissed at her or dead and just gone. However, with her father's health declining, she can't stand to lose Saxon, too. Their love is strong and lethal, and it's always great to have a SMART heroine. The boys (and lady!) in the Hellfire Riders are pretty badass as well.

Another great read in The Motorcycle Clubs series. Lily aka Zoomie and Blowback have been circling each other for a while now and maybe in the next novella we will find out why!

ARC Review: Ice Planet Barbarians Pt. 1 Stolen

A new serial by Ruby Dixon, one of trio of authors that bring us The Motorcycle Clubs serials, has arrived and has gone intergalactic. The Ice Planet Barbarians are here and they really like human women. Georgie was your average young woman with an average life until she wakes up kidnapped by some nasty looking aliens. She finds herself in a cell with several other young women who have also been abducted and quickly learns to keep quiet or their abductors will make sure in the worst ways that they will stay quiet. However, something happens during transit and the abductors have to ditch the cargo bay where the prisoners are being kept. After crash landing on an icy snow planet, Georgie is elected the leader of their group, and she reluctantly agrees to go scouting, where she encounters a whole new sexy alien beast.

A quick and dirty read, just the way I like it. Can't wait for the rest of the story!

ARC Review: His Mad Passion by Ella Goode

Fans (like me) of The Motorcycle Clubs books already know Wrecker and Chelsea. Wrecker is the son of the Death Lords MC, Judge, and has been in love with his stepsister Chelsea since they were teens. Chelsea's mother ditched her with Judge left to raise her, and he was the best parental figure she had. After doing some time, Wrecker came out of prison with a mission to win Chelsea over despite their tenuous familial relationship, and they have been together ever since. However, the police chief still has a hard on to catch Wrecker doing any little thing since he is on parole, and not everyone in their small town approves of Chelsea and Wrecker's relationship, not that Wrecker gives a fuck.

It's very cool to check back in on a couple we already have met. Wrecker is committed more than ever to Chelsea, and that in and of itself is so very hot. Chelsea and Wrecker find themselves involved in some bad times when the snobby woman who accosted Chelsea in the grocery store winds up dead the next day. Chelsea and Wrecker know that he didn't do it since they were in bed all night long (well, not technically in the bed for part of that time, but you get the point. Sexy times!) Now they have to prove his innocence so that he doesn't have to go back to prison for violating his parole. A great sexy read, as always, and while their story will continue there isn't a tortuous cliffhanger here.

ARC Review: Breaking it All by Kati Wilde

Breaking It All (Hellfire Riders MC, #7)Gunner has been in love with his best friend and MC brother's sister, Anna, for ten years now. Because of his past the potential for Anna to be fataly injured, he keeps his distance romantically. However, when his best friend goes missing he has to take Anna to the very past he has been avoiding.

This was a full length novel in the typically novella-length world of The Motorcycle Clubs. It started out slower than I wanted it to (mostly because I was used to shorter reads), but the finish was big and so worth the buildup in the beginning. Gunner and Anna were a sexy, tortured couple, which is my favorite type of relationship to read about. Gunner's history paired with Anna's was fascinating, and their dynamic was sizzling hot together. A great read if you love the MC world!

Review: Burning It All: A Hellfire Riders MC Romance

Burning It All: A Hellfire Riders MC Romance
Burning It All: A Hellfire Riders MC Romance by Kati Wilde

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Hellfire Riders are back and we are treated to the continuation of Jack and Lily's story. After fighting in a knock down dragout battle to defend the honor of the club, Lily aka Zoomie is still recovering. However there is a price on her head and Jack is going to do everything he can to keep her safe.

I love Jack and Lily. Jack is so messed up and knows it but he is also unapologetically down for Lily no matter what. He is a dark dangerous man, just the way I like them, but he is capable of so much more. Lily is such a bad ass and continues to prove it everyday.

Another hot and sexy biker adventure to add to the Motorcycle Clubs collection!

ARC Review: Their Lasting Claim by Ella Goode

Their Lasting Claim (Death Lords MC #5)
This fifth entry in the Death Lords MC series (and 13th in the overall Motorcycle Clubs series) is just as hot as we have come to expect by now. Their Lasting Claim continues the story of Michigan, Easy, and Annie, and things are getting even more complicated now. Annie's abusive pastor father is out on bail from beating her within an inch of her life, and the guys want the permanent kind of retribution. Meanwhile Annie has been feeling ill and it turns out it's because she is pregnant. Easy and Michigan are ecstatic, but Annie has some fears and reservations about what this means for her relationship with them, how their family structure works, and how she will raise a little one in this small town. And just for giggles, her absentee mother shows up out of the blue. What's her agenda?

Once again, so much is packed into this serial, including the sexy times we love from this trio. Another raunchy and raucous read!  5 stars

Giving it All by Kati Wilde

Giving It All (Hellfire Riders MC, #8)In this Christmas slice of life story, the Hellfire Riders have a marker that needs to be repaid; Red asked for a favor from another club back when he was a Steel Titan and the Riders theoretically should pay up. When Saxon finds out what the favor was, he decides to pay up, but it is testing his emotional strength.

I do love Saxon and Jenny. I feel for her in this book, dealing with Red and then having to deal with this "problem" the club has taken on for a short time. I always enjoy a check in with them. Saxon loves her better than he loves himself, and that makes me love him more. There are plenty of great couples in the Motorcycle Clubs books, but Saxon and Jenny always have a special spot!
