Review: Hot Secrets

Hot Secrets
Hot Secrets by Lisa Renee Jones

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hot Secrets was another strong entry into romantic suspense from Lisa Renee Jones. Royce is tall, dark, and handsome; when you piss him off he's also dangerous and owns a securities firm. The exact opposite of Royce is Lauren, a reserved District Attorney that hasn't had a good time in a good while.

What Lauren knows is that as a DA she gets threats all the time. What she doesn't know is that her powerful father asked Royce as a favor to look into threats she has been receiving lately. Royce does, but he also gets some huge signals from Lauren. Their chemistry is hot and sexy, and once Royce discovers that the threats to her are real and dangerous, he decides he isn't leaving her side.

This was full of action and Royce was sexy as sin. This book definitely set up more books about his brothers and I would love to read more about them. Sometimes I wanted to shake Lauren when she was in denial about how dangerous the threat to her life was, but overall I liked her. Her best friend was hilarious and apparently dated one of Royce's brothers, so color me interested! Im sure that story will be as hot as this one.

Review: Devil's Game

Devil's Game
Devil's Game by Joanna Wylde

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

LOVED IT.

This third entry into the Reaper's MC series actually takes us into the heart of the Devil's Jacks mindset. Liam and Em are more than star crossed lovers-they have serious issues to overcome. Like kidnapping.

I wanted more more more, of course, and there is a tease at the end about who may be next. I can't WAIT. Such a great read with the action, drama, and sexy times we all want. Sta tuned for a more in depth First Look.

Review: Mountains Wanted

Mountains Wanted
Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This meaty novel was an awesome read. Sarah had a great but complicated life- she was a single mother of 2, a PhD professor, and a believer of open relationships. She has been happily dating fellow professor Pawel rather chastely, but when she meets Lt James McAllister, he set off all of her lust alarms. Studying sexuality and relationships is her profession, so Sarah can look at a situation objectively and evaluate it. However, she has a hard time evaluating her pull to James. Pawel is delightful, but he is married with a family in Poland. James is a bit younger and they start their relationship off as friends with benefits, but James is not very good with the friends part. They struggle to define or not define what their relationship is. When James gets called back into service, they will have even more decision to make.

This was not a cotton candy book-it was a full delicious meal of love, pain, conflict, and happiness. There is a sequel and I've just started it! Great read.

Probably my favorite of this series so far. Luna went to get her man Bishop, and it was non-stop action with a healthy dose of sexy times. Stay tuned for a full First Look at Heroes and Heartbreakers.

Review: Redemption

Redemption
Redemption by Stephanie Tyler

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4.5 stars
When Mathias and Bishop stumble upon a rival MC in the middle of a sex trafficking deal, they can't sit idly by and let it go down. Lucky for Jessa, whose husband sells her out at the last minute, Mathias decides to come to the rescue. They take out all the players, and take her to the Defiance compound. The attraction between Jessa and Mathias is instant and white-hot, but they both have to learn to trust each other. Mathias is mute, and Bishop usually does his translating, so in a way they are a package deal.

Jessa still has some secrets that she is keeping close to her chest, and Mathias knows it. He has a sense about things, and follows signs. He knows that she is the woman for him, but she has to find her own way for the first time ever.

This was a great read, I liked it even better than the first book! Mathias was stoic, dangerous, and of course smoldering hot. Jessa was smart, sexy, and overcame so much from her past. I can't wait to continue the series!
