Review: Shield of Winter
Shield of Winter by Nalini Singh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Yet another 5* read in the Psy/Changeling series. Vasic, an Arrow assassin on the edge, is assigned to protect Ivy Jane, an Psy with the rare E (empath) designation. Ivy's Silence protocol has been broken for years, and there are pieces of herself that are still not put together just right. Vasic has so many sins to atone for as an Arrow under villainous leadership, but slowly learns to forgive himself through helping Ivy. Together, with some of our favorite friends in the Psy/Changeling world, they fight the deadly infection spreading through the NetMind.
Vasic is as hot as you would imagine. He doesn't replace my favorite Arrow Judd, but that's because he hasn't read as many "manuals" yet. Ha! I love Ivy. She is smart, spunky, and duh, empathetic. Nalini Singh has created new favorites in a series that shows no sign of slowing down.
